In 2020, we launched a project titled “Development of a Sustainable Dry Waste Value Chain in Nepal” to ensure Waste Worker's Dignity and Safety and will be sharing snippets from our work in the upcoming days. We provided training to waste workers on how to protect themselves from COVID19, making them aware about workplace hazards and injuries, and teaching them how to mitigate income loss during crises. We are also providing a waste worker booklet, various personal protective equipment (PPE) items, and medicine kits to ensure they have tools to protect themselves from infectious diseases and also to better their quality of life.
